Heather Alonzo was born in upstate, New York. She has lived happily in both
the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts and New York City. She graduated
from Elms College with a Paralegal Certificate and Associates Degree in Advanced
Paralegal Studies. Two years later she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA
in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York
City. She has recently earned her Masters in Forensic Psychology degree from
John Jay.
When not planning her next Europe or Australia excursions, Heather can be
found meandering the streets of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, practicing her
embroidery and German language proficiency, fleshing out new art projects, and
doting on her cat Roger.
Among her favorite artists are Joseph Cornell, Hieronymus Bosch, John Singer
Sargent, Vermeer, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Monet, and Frida Kahlo. Favorite poets
include Robinson Jeffers and Robert Creeley. Her favorite musicians are Bruce
Cockburn, David Sylvian, Kate Bush, Sheila Chandra, Bob Dylan, Johann
Sebastian Bach, and Neil Young.
Heather's favorite art mediums are pencil and pen and ink although collage and
fabric art have recently been quietly nudging to the top of her list.
