this piece is part of a mythology i was creating for fun wherein
this character was a tribesman who was easily tricked by
manipulative animals and gods.

this man was a warrior in a mythology i started creating at the
time. he was a calm and level-headed soldier not prone to
misdirected passion.

i've always enjoyed the bold graphics and symmetry of some
ancient cultures' art. perhaps the direct features of those works
reflected the direct and pragmatic survivalist society of the
time.

i would like to think that this character was part of a

figure of an anthropomorphous bat. i have always wondered if
the original artist created this piece for personal amusement or
to relate something terrifying.

i was inspired to draw this statue because of the subject's eyes
and mouth. his eyes are stern yet his mouth is incredibly
supple.

this drawing turned out to be rather autobiographical at the
time.
